Hi Peter

Can you please let me know which area in Auckland you are located in?
We can then have a look at transmitter options and how the Aerial should be aligned (vertical or horizontal)

Cheers

South Auckland, Mamurewa east. Thank u!

Where was your antenna pointing to before the issues occurred? Approx estimation at the transmitter used.

There could be some environmental impacts on the signal path this could be trees, buildings, traffic, construction or strong wind which could have readjusted the aerial over time.

Weve always had it on a slight angle pointing in between 2 houses. Weve never had his issue snce we got it a year ago evn with rain n heavy strong winds all it dse in that sort of weather is crackel like image becomes pixelated then bk on to normal. No trees or traffic so idk what to do?

I see from your profile you are using a Zinwell620 STB. Having had two of these that failed withing 2 years I would suggest you try another (known to be good) STB. If that works it would eliminate the aerial system as the problem. If it doesn't then you have an antenna problem. I've always had problems with Zinwell units after about 12 months use, so I bought a Sony TV and Panasonic recorder and never had a problem now in 5+ years.

if it is a zinwell fault replacing the green capacitors at a dollar each may do the trick or replace the box with something else
