No signal

I have just bought an Aeral Box T2200 but can't get a signal. I have a HDMI cable attached to the back but support said I need an aerial cable too. Is that correct and if so is that just between the TV and the aerial box?
I have an aerial not a satellite dish
My Smart Tv works fine
Any help would be appreciated

Page 9 of the manual shows you how to connect HDMI and a UHF Antenna.

Normally you would connect the UHF antenna to the T2200 and then run an antenna cable from the T2200 cable out socket to the TV's Antenna input socket.
