Missing TV3, TV4, TV3+1, TV4+1 and 11 in Ohariu Valley [SOLVED]

Hi,

I used to receive all of these channels, but now they are displaying "No Service". This happened within the past few days.

I am receiving Freeview via a Panasonic DMR BWT835 DVD hard drive and a Panasonic Smart TV. I reset the channels on the DVD, and now the above channels have disappeared. Have not yet reset the TV, and the channels are displaying "No Service".

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

Good Morning Elizabeth

Can you confirm if these channels were missing before you reset the Panasonic DMR?
If so, it is likely that your aerial , overtime needs realigning to the transmitter.

The channel group which contains the above channels mentioned use a  different frequency to the working channels so signal strength and quality plays a factor in delivering optimum reception, so its best to look at the aerial and see whether this needs adjusting.

Cheers

Try manually tuning the TV3, TV4 mux which should be Channel 32 on Kauakau or 33 if you use one of the other sites. That should at least show what signal strength you have and you can compare with the other channels. Also check you antenna and leads as if you only lost one mux then you must be getting fringe reception.

Yes, the channels on the Panasonic DMR displayed "No Service" - same as TV. Will try manually re-tuning before resetting aerial. Thanks for your post.

Will give manual tuning a go, however it is not particularly intuitive. Will post result.
