Hi there.. I am thinking of bringing back the above satelite PVR/Receiver when I return to NZ later this year.. it is an mpeg2 (mpeg2 H.264 AVC .ts) with mpeg/musicam1&2, dolby digital and plus audio based unit and wonder if there will be any services available that still use this standard that I would be able to view in NZ..? perhaps if not on freeview, what about any FTA or any oz channels..? thanks for any advice.. It probably won't work on Optus D1 unless it is H262 compatible as Freeview uses H262 video. Might work on other satellites though. You can always bring it with you and experiment.

is it a VAST box?

if so wont touch anthing that doesnt have a freeview oz signal coding
