Hi there,

For the past few days, any programmes that I set up for recording via EPG on tv3 aren't being recorded.  Initially I was getting an error message even when no other programmes were set to record.  However, when I go into watch TV3 and press record it will then record.  To my knowledge nothing in particular has happened to change any settings.

Other channels appear to be working/recording fine - it's just TV3.  I've turned the unit off and back on again to re-set but that hasn't made any difference.

Any ideas for a fix? Anyone else had this?

Which recorder are you talking about? According to your profile you seem to have three different ones. 1 UHF and 2 satellite.

Oh, whoops, sorry, I just amended - I forgot to untick the ones I ticked by mistake.  I have the S7090 PVR Freeview recorder

Can you please tell me what firmware you have including Date , you are able to do this by doing the following:

  1. On your remote Press Menu
  2. Go to System Configuration
  3. Go to Version

Your Software is out of date, which might be leading to why you are having some issues, upgrading is simple and easy and only requires any USB device

  1. We have provided a step by step installation guide which you can download from here http://www.dishtv.co.nz/images/stories/Firmware/S7090PVR_Firmware-v...
  2. Download and run the software, easy instructions will tell you what to do next.

If you need help with installation, then please let me know and we can go through step by step. This should help resolve TV 3  recording issue.

How often should I be checking for updates?

For this unit, not often, we have a page on our website which contains which updates are the latest and can be found here.

Hi there,

I've just tried to do this, and am following the instructions, but nothing is happening once the usb is in the unit and I power back on and press menu to get the boot loader going, I left my finger on the menu button (on the unit) for about a minute...nothing!

Any ideas?
