Hi!

Have moved into a  house. Earlier owner had routed Freeview channels through Sky dish. They have taken the Sky decoder with them & I do not intend to get a Sky connection.

The house already has an UHF aerial. What is involved  in getting Freeview channels..?

Check the freeview web site and see  if you are in signal coverage area  for FreeviewHD  ( uhf ) If its ( High Likely )  etc  then try

a UHF Set top box (  if your TV set does not have a built in freeview UHF tuner !! )

Hi AANZ

Getting Freeview HD can depend on several situations, as outlined in the responses below this is based on the following:

  • Your Location:  Area and environment are you sure you can get reliable Freeview signals
  • Equipment: Have Freeview HD equipment instead of Satellite gear to get the right broadcast
  • UHF aerial alignment, ensure that this is reliable and strong to withstand unusual weather events

There are heaps of tips and ideas to get you started on our website and this forum :-)
