Hi, I just put up a second tv a new samsung with built in  freeview and wired it up myself using a 2 way splitter off the uhf aerial.

Most channels work fine on both tv's except for 3, 4, c4 and 3+1.

Those channels sometimes do work and sometimes have broken sound and really bad picture.

If one tv is on channel 3 the other tv wont get signal at all for that same channel and vise versa. All other channels are fine apart from 3, 4, c4 and 3+1

For example I hooked the new samsung up yesterday and all channels were good.  I turned that tv off and turned on the old tv and couldnt get channel 3 or 4. This morning I turned on the old tv and all channels were good again but the new tv had no signal for channel 3 or 4, the other channels were still fine.

I had a play with the aerial today and got both tvs working on all channels but tonight it has gone back to either only one tv working on channel 3 and 4 or neither of them getting these channels?

Can someone help?

What sort of antenna, what sort of splitter, and do you have an old sky box or VCR connected as well?

all those are symptoms of poor signal and palmerston north usually has a more than adequate signal
