We live rurally near Otorohanga. Have occasionally had problems with reception of certain channels notably Prime. Usually this has been after strong winds and realigning the aerial fixes this. Usually when this happens the signal is very pixellated.
Now there is absolutely no signal for Prime, Maori, Choice, Central, Al Jazeera, Parliament, National Radio, Concert Programme and others. We can get TV1, 2, 3, 4, the plus 1 channels, Edge and Shopping.
We have checked the aerial alignment, retuned the TV and done a factory reset. None has produced the goods.
Any clues? Nothing has changed our end.

Joshua's right. You are missing 2 of the 4 Mux so must be an antenna/cabling problem.
What signal strength is indicating on the 2 Mux you are receiving (CH32 & 34 assuming you point at Te Aroha) compared to the other 2 (Ch 28 & 36)?
Description of you setup and picture of your antenna may help diagnose the problem.
Do you have a masthead Amp?
There is clear line of sight to Te Aroha but it is a long way away. We don't have a set top box... the TV has the freeview business as an integral part. The aerial is connected to wires in the house and the TV plugged into the aerial socket. There is only one TV. We will check the connections in the roof. Anything else about the aerial we should look at?
That all sounds helpful. We'll find out about the signal strengths. We don't have a masthead amp.
Basically make sure it's in excellent condition and the cabling is good quality rg6 co-ax running from the antenna direct to the TV. You say it's connected to wires in the house but they may be old poor quality cable.
Confirm it is a UHF antenna like one of these

and is horizontally polarised like those in the link.
See Network Status page for updates.
