Hi Bel,

I tried to Re Install from the app - but i still have a black screen.

Can you please advise the correct steps for this HotFix ?

Hey Rachel,

You shouldn't need to reinstall, the app should update itself to the version (1.12) with the hotfix.  If it hasn't already updated, try rebooting the TV at the wall (unplug from power and leave for 10mins before turning it back on).

Thanks!

Bel

Still “ black screen” has this worked for anyone else? If so , what were your steps?
Mine still black too...its a pain!!

Still a black screen for me too, I turned it off at the wall for over 20 mins and it’s exactly the same, when you just have a black screen it’s impossible to look at any settings, assuming for us at home there even is an ability to look at any.

Exactly the same for me !! This Hotfix isnot all that Hot :)

we have the same problem i rang freeview and they wanted to know what version of freeview was installed on my samsung tv (18 months old) but i cant even open freeview to see which version we have.I have also rebooted the tv and checked updates are on several times, the so called hotfix did not work for me,still just a black screen

same here the hot fix did not work at all

if you go to the app in Samsung Apps - under My Apps and hold down on your Remote ( the middle button )the FreeView App - settings will be an option you can see your version there :)

IS someone from FreeView going to respond to this non HotFix ??
