"An offset dish will be offset by about 22deg to stop the lnb partially blocking the signal"

"Because the dishes have the LNB offset and not at the central focal point. That's why they seem to be at quite a different angle. Think of the Dish as a mirror.  If the dish is at around 15 degrees then the LNB will be looking at around 45…"

"Where on earth are you measuring from? The elevation markings should be written on the side.  Elevation is the angle of the horizon that the satellite sits at. The dish is normally offset ."
