Hi all. I need a bit of help.

I just bought a new tv (Panasonic TH-55GX880Z).

Everything's working as expected except the Freeview On Demand app.

When I click it, the screen goes black and I see a spinning wheel for a few seconds and then nothing..

I have a aerial connected, and can see the free to air channels. Wifi is connected.

Thanks heaps for any suggestions.

Cheers

Hein

Hi Hein

Could you try switching off the unit at the wall, leave for 20 mins and then switch this back on and see what happens.

What about a factory reset or try ringing Panasonic on 092720178

Hi All

Thought I'd just close this off.

I rang Panasonic, they couldn't really help and referred me back to Freeview.

However, I discovered this was all of my own making;

On my network I run my own small DNS server to block adds (pihole). The IP for this DNS server is configured in DHCP and thus assigned automatically. This was interfering with the Freeview service, and all I had to do was manually configure the DNS server on the TV to a "non-blocking" DNS (8.8.8.8).

All is working as expected now.

Thanks for everyone's time.
