Terrestrial aerial, samsung smart TV.
I setup Prime news to record, recurring - but after a few episodes it arbitrarily stops and I have to setup the record again. This has gone on for many months, doesn't seem to happen on other series.
To me it looks like the metadata or whatever its called, is not setup properly.
Sky have been queried and insist the issue must be with Freeview.
Any ideas? Does anyone else get this?

Hi Alan,
Before I can pass this onto the teams, can you confirm if you are trying to record the news via the built in guide on the Samsung TV?
Thanks
Josh
Hi Josh, thanks & yes - I select the next news episode & click the record button on my remote; it asks to record once or recurring, I choose recur.
Cheers
Alan
Hi Josh, just checking in - I gather you got no help on this :-(
A recent change is that the news no longer records at all - I can see that its setup OK, with the series symbol, but when I go to watch it afterwards, nothing recorded and the series symbol has been removed & its not in the schedule tab.
I had another glitch recently - was recording 'The Rookie' and after 5 correctly recorded episodes (if I remember correctly, might have been 6) - it just didn't record the next episode.
Still looks to me like something setup wrong for those programs, because it records most series without any hassle.

Hi Alan
Please conduct a power reboot on the TV, switch off and leave for 20-30 mins. Retry and see if this works, if not please conduct a Factory Reset to refresh your TV.
Josh
Hi Josh, tried that - but not fixed :-(
Another series episode failed to record recently - 'The Rookie' - fortunately that is on demand ...
See Network Status page for updates.
