I have followed the instructions provided on this site how to update TV3 on the Zinwell-7500 satellite receiver with limited success. We get both video and audio however within a few seconds the screen reverts back to the "TV3 has changed" message. Software upgrade by DFA doesn't help. I am hoping to avoid having to rescan the entire system. Any suggestions?

Hi John

I have alerted our Zinwell tech and he will respond shorty

Regards, Josh

Hello John,

Can you please tell me if the "TV3 has changed" message just comes up for a few seconds when you change channels or does it display on the screen permanently while you are trying to watch TV3?

Thanks

Graham

Morning Graham and thanks for the response. When we change channel to TV3 we get good video and audio(100%). Within a few seconds of the information plate disappearing the screen then changes to the "TV3 has changed" window that remains permanent with audio only. FYI on the far top right of the information plate it reads 1/1 and then changes to 0/1

Sorry I haven't been able to find a fix for this so far.

Looks as though the receivers outside the Northern region will need to do a complete Factory Default, Rescan and add Bravo+1, Prime and Edge as per the instructions found here:

Hi Graham. Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me. I am not that surprised but had hoped to avoid the rescan as it is a bit of an exercise. That being said I may just skip TV3 altogether - we still get TV3+1 without any issue. Thanks again and all the best.

Tuesday 12 July 2016. Happy to report that the issue we had with the "TV3 has changed" window has today corrected itself and we now have uninterrupted video on the TV3 channel.

Hi John

Thanks very much for the update. I'm assuming that you now have TV3  by just changing the PIDs as per the earlier instructions I had on the forum.   This is really good news.  I've been suggesting to callers to wait until TV3 goes off altogether and then try changing the PIDs then to see if they are saved from having to do a full rescan.  I'll now be able to call them back and get them up and running earlier than thought.

Yes Graham, we had originally changed the PIDs for audio and video as per the instructions found on this forum. We made no other changes and no rescan. I must say this site has been of tremendous assistance retuning the Zinwell with the changes to Prime and most recently TV3. Thanks again for your personal attention to our query. Best
