HBBTV on non freeview STB

if its an open source app why cant i get FV plus on my non FV box,  its a Vu+Duo and does way more than I know what to do, but to have this would be nice.

You'll need to contact Vu+Duo maybe there's some new firmware that you can download. Nothing to do with freeview really.

its the latest HBBTV 1.5

Maybe a hardware problem. Seems to me all the freeview + boxes are new and there is no firmware download for them.
