Hi Guys.

I have just moved into a house to share with one person. At present  there is a large Samsung TV in the lounge with a sat box connected to the sole satellite cable in the house.

My bedroom has no satellite connection and a old samsung tv. I have my own Dish TV sat box.

I know it may be possible to run a long cable from the lounge to the bedroom using a splitter. However the length of cable needed would be at least  15 metres      and I would say this would be the last resort because of the length of cable needed.

Another option is using an AV sender but i do not know if such devices work with freeview set up boxes.

Can anyone make any suggestions how i can ultimately receive tv transmissions in my bedroom using the satellite feed please?

I will be most grateful for any advice or help that anyone can give me.

Thank you

Alistair Clarke

just use cable and splitter

could always add a up to 10 dB line amp if needed [before the splitter]

15 meter of coax should not be an issue just use decent quality RG6 plus an F type 2 way splitter

Hi Alistair

What Dish TV box do you currently own?

hi joshua.

My Dish Tv box is a S7070r.

Thank you.

Av sender would work , but may suffer from interference.

Not the cheapest option $124.90 (composite) 5.8 GHZ or $249.00 (HDMI) 2.4 GHZ

The best option would be to split the cable in the roof if possible rather than running it back from the lounge depending on location of Dish.
