I have a problem with my set up
Freeview sat 101 receiver
dishfinder
10750 lnb
new coaxial cables
digital tv
satellite dish
When I attach the satellite finder it 'squeals' and I believe I have the right location/alignment of the dish.
Then when I run the wizard on the receiver/tv it does not pick up any satellites or any percentages at all.
On the installation set up screen the lnb icon is highlighted in green but the satellite icon is highlighted in red.
Is anyone able to offer suggestions as to where I am going wrong.

Good Afternoon Karen and Happy New Year!
It looks like you have aligned your satellite dish to one of the other Optus Satellites not Optus D1 which is why your satellite receiver is not receiving the correct Freeview broadcast,
to help you correct this, use helpful tools like Dish pointer: http://www.dishpointer.com/
and make sure you select your address and the Optus D1 satellite from the list provided. This will allow you to find the satellite correctly, make sure you are aware of how the measurements are take on the dish in order to successfully locate the satellite, we have provided some extra info on how to do this here: http://freeviewforum.co.nz/forum/topics/freeview-satellite-aligning...
Please let me know if this helps and if you are still receiving further issues let me know
Many Thanks
Josh
Thank you Josh
Thank you for your suggestions. I will give them a try.

Karen
if getting good signal and quality on 12734 vertical,s/r 22500 then you are on optus d2 which is 8 degrees too far west
if signal and quality on 12286 horizontal s/r 28800 is intelsat 19 6 degrees too far east
My thanks to you, Callan and Biggles. Was tuning to Optus D2. Swapped to D1, and did factory rest, and all my nightmares gone. Thank you
