I can now receive 23 programs with a retune.
1. TVNZ Mux (DTV35) TV1, TV2 etc. Excellent reception. Aerial adjustment anywhere within a 60 degree arc.
2. Discovery Mux (DTV33) TV3, Bravo, etc. Receive only pixelation.
3. K1 Mux (DTV37) Prime, Choice, Parliament, Firstflight, etc. Excellent reception.
4. MTS Mux (DTV39) Maori TV, Te Reo TV. Just pixelation. Aerial adjustment within an extremely small arc.
Programs I haven't yet received at all after Kordia's changes:
HGTV, Shine, Al Jazeera.
I had excellent reception of all programs before Kordia's changes.

Hey George, really appreciate all the clear details you've provided - thank you! We checked this with Kordia for you and they are working to increase the antenna height to improve the signal, but don’t have a timeframe for this yet.
We'll update the Network Status page when we have more info from their team.
You should be able to get excellent reception on UHF channel 35. It's the TVNZ mux with TV1, TV2, TV1+1, TV2+1 & Duke TV. I receive it anywhere on a 60 degree arc pointing to the Hamilton Tower.
I receive good reception on the K1 mux on UHF channel 37 with Prime, Choice, Parliament TV, Firstlight, CTV8 and 3 Radio.
I receive the Discovery mux on UHF channel 33 with TV3, Bravo, TV3+1, Edge TV, Breeze TV but it's pixelated and unwatchable.
I receive the MTS mux on UHF channel 39 with Maori TV and Te Reo TV but it's pixelated and unwatchable.
I used to receive Al Jazeera which is on the K2 mux, possibly UHF channel 29 but can't receive that at all now.
Only UHF channels 35 and 37 are watchable but at least they include most of the programs I watch.
That's my progress so far. I'll keep at it when I have the time.
Same here. I had no reception problems before Kordia recently altered the Hamilton Tower transmitters.
Hi Bevan, Ben and George,
This is an unfortunate situation where Kordia were forced to move the tower and given only 3 weeks’ notice by the building owner.
Normally a planned move would take many months of preparation and Kordia have done everything they can in short space of time to continue coverage with a temporary solution.
Despite everyone’s best efforts Kordia acknowledge that some viewers have been affected and consulting with an installer is still the best option for each individual situation.
Im having the same issue, my signal is high but the picture is unwatchable. does any one have a good recommendation on what antenna to get? my ones about 5km away from hamilton central tower an we run 3 TVs in the house.
Hi si o,
Just to let you know Kordia have advised that they're working to increase the antenna height to improve the signal the week of 13 June (still subject to delivery timings that are shifting weekly).
We'll update the Network Status page when we receive more info from their team.
We have a handy guide about TV antennas on our Freeview website here.
Kind regards,
Hannah
