"One thing I may suggest is check the Settings of the recorder and see if the Self Check is turned on by default; this could also be in the firmware section as units so usually check for software from the manufacturer, however it might be best to…"

Hi everyone,I have a Panasonic TV (TX model) and a Panasonic Freeview Box (DMR8 model). When watching a self recorded programme, OnDemand or Netflix it comes up with a message that says it is going to do a `self check'.The second message states it has completed the self check and will turn the unit off.Once it has turned off, I have to turn the power back on.
