Broadcasters and transmission providers make changes from time to time and while most approved products will automatically update, some may need a rescan.

Only refer to the following instructional guides if you are using a satellite dish to get your TV signal.  If you're using a UHF aerial, refer to the retune guidelines here.

What to do if you can't find your receiver brand here

If the brand or model of your receiver isn't listed here, it's not an approved product and hasn't been tested or certified to work with the broadcasting specifications in New Zealand.

You should contact the distributor or seller of your receiver for instructions.

Alternatively, post a query on the forum to see if someone can help you out!

DISH TV

Satbox S7070

Carry out a Factory Reset before scanning for channels:

1. Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu.
2. Select Installation and Press Ok
3. Select Factory Default and Press Ok
4. Enter the pin code for the receiver (The default is 0000)
5. Select Yes and press OK

After the factory reset process has completed you will be prompted to select your region and press OK.

Once the scan process has completed you should have access to all channels again.

The steps to retune are below:

1. Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu
2. Select Installation
3. Select Factory Reset and Press Ok
4. Select Yes and press OK
5. Enter the pin code for the receiver (The default is 0000)

After the factory reset process has completed follow the on screen prompts to set the unit up and scan for channels.

Once the scan process has completed you should have access to all channels again.

Zygo S2000

1. Press the menu button on the remote to bring up the main menu
2. Select Setup and press OK
3. Use the right arrow key to toggle to SYSTEM
4. Enter the PIN code for the unit (the default is 0000)
5. Press the UP arrow once on your remote and press OK on Restore Factory Default
6. Select Reset setup to factory default and press OK
 
After the factory reset process has completed follow the onscreen prompts.

Once the scan process has completed you should have access to all channels again.

DTVS1 / DTVS 1B / DTVS P1 / DTVS P2

Please follow these steps:

1. On the DTVS remote control, press the MENU button

2. Select "Installation" and press the OK button

3. Select "Factory default" and press the OK button

4. Enter the password. The default password "0000"

5. Select "Yes" and press OK when you see the question "Do you want to factory reset?"

6. Select your closest location (use the left or right arrow buttons to change the location). Then press OK.

7. Select "Yes" and press OK when you see the question "Do you want to scan?"

8. The receiver will start tuning the channels and will save them automatically.

DTVS DSR1 / DTVS DSR2

The following is provided by DTVS and applies to DTVS DSR1 and DSR 2 only.

Please follow the steps below:

1. On the DTVS remote control, press the MENU button on the remote.

2. Select "System Installation" and press OK.

3. Select "Factory Default" and press OK.

4. Select "Yes" when "Do you want to reset information?" is displayed and press OK

5. Enter the password. The default password is 0000.

6. The Initial setup screen should appear.

7. Select your location and press OK.

8. Select "yes" when "Do you want to scan" is displayed

9. The receiver will start searching for channels and will save the channels when done.

DTVS Smart1

Please follow these steps:

1) Press MENU

2) Select SETUP

3) Enter password. Default password is "0000"

4) Select CHANNEL SEARCH

5) Press the BLUE button on your remote to select delete channels

6) Select OK to delete channels

7) Using the arrow keys on your remote, move across and down the transponder list to 12483MHz

8) Press OK on 12483MHz.  A green bar will light up on the left.

9) Press the RED button on your remote to bring up the search options

10) Select NIT and FTA then press OK

11) Press OK to save the channels

12) Press the BACK button three times to exit the menu.
