Not sure if anyone here will have any idea what's up with my TV....
I have a DishTV FreeviewPlus box attached to my dumb Samsung TV, that is about 3 years old. Audio is exclusively through a Sonos soundbar. The picture is fine, and everything seems to work OK, except when the TV is turned on there is an intermittant 'click' sound from the TV. No interruption to the picture. The 'click' sound seems to come from the top left hand side.
Any clues as to what this might be?

Well if it's only there when you turn the TV on then chances are it's a TV fault.
yup, but it never happened with the last Freeview box. This clicking started as soon as the new box was plugged in to it... could it be something to do with settings?
Have you unplugged the box and then turned on the TV to replicate the issue?
Nope, I haven't. But the issue only started the same day I plugged the new Freeviewplus box in to it.
OK
So disconnect and turn off the STB while the TV is turned on and see if it stops. If it does then that would eliminate the TV as the problem.
You will need to do this so I can send this info to DishTV, just unplug the T2100 and turn on the TV as normal, does the click continue or stop, while the TV is on plug back the T2100 and see if it makes a sound
OK> Update. It appears that the crackle sound is coming from the soundbar..
Change source to Apple TV: No crackle
Mute DishTV source: No crackle
Crackle only happens when audio is on and connected to DishTV Freeview box.
The optical cord from the soundbar is connected directly to the TV.
Further investigations reveal that I may have a problem with wireless interference between the soundbar and the Freeview box. I'm going to change the wireless channel on the soundbar and see if that makes a difference.
See Network Status page for updates.
