Tonight we wanted to watch a programme on TV One and record a simultaneous programme on TV3. No can do because they are in different groups. But we could record the TV3 programme on TV3+1 because we would not be watching TV One at that time. Nice idea, but it didn't work. Our DISH T2100 insisted on recording the earlier programme on TV3. I waited until we were in to the TV One programme and tried again, but it said it was too late to record the programme. Is TV3+1 not a real channel? What is happening?

Thanks for any help.

Your profile indicates you have a Sony Freeview TV so the obvious solution is set your recorder to record the channel you want and watch the other Channel via the TV's inbuilt tuner.

Alternatively use Timer Record.

Of course! Why didn't I think of this.
