Having lost TV3, I foolishly followed instructions on here to reset to default settings and rescan. Now I've lost everything. All connections are sound and have not been interfered with - just the software in the receiver. The receiver has reverted back to original settings including having U channel and TVNZ7.
I've rescanned and 'nothing found' and 'no channels'. The signal and quality levels show something but no longer in colour.
I cancelled SKY and this was my only access to TV so can it be restored or time to get a new set top box?
This Orton was good as it has scart out. Do the others have scart?

try changing your lnb type to Standard

follow the guide here

http://freeviewforum.co.nz/forum/topics/alkris-recievers-how-to-rec...

at step 1 change the LNB to Standard if its on Universal.

at step 4 change NIT Search to On

So if you get  prime etc .

If the display is in black and white you need to change the display mode to PAL_BG

Menu / System /Tv System

Change from Auto to PAL-BG

Panic over. After leaving the receiver unplugged overnight, I checked the settings as advised and they were OK. Did a multi scan and instead of skipping through it did a thorough search and now I have TV back. Just need to sort and delete the free and pay channels.
Looking forward to more free channels now. Cheers.
