The other day my mum lost all channels but prime on her freeveiw out of the blue. Tried everything to get them back but had no signal strength or quality when trying to scan for the channels etc. As a last resort I did a factory reset as suggested on numerous pages. Got all the channels back and everything is working fine except no prime channel. I've tried adding the transponder manually as suggested on the official forums for the decoders make and model and nothing, The receiver is a DTVS-1

Have tried the below ?
Troubleshooting
If you do not see the signal strength and quality value, then please check that you have entered the correct numbers and the settings are the same as given in the instructions. If the settings are correct, then you have a signal problem. This can happen if your signal is coming from the dish incorrectly. It is a common and known issue on many ageing Sky installed dishes on which the LNB (equipment that sits on the arm of the dish) converts the signal incorrectly.
If you are using a Sky dish and you do not see signal strength and quality, you can try the following to force a signal:
Increment the frequency by 3 until you get a signal. For example for Prime, the frequency is 12707 and adding 3 to it will give a new frequency of 12710 and adding another 3 will give 12713.
To get a permanent fix, it is best to replace the malfunctioning LNB as over a period of time, the calculated value will change and you will eventually lose the signal.
Yeah I tried this too and went up to like freq 12740 and nothing changed no signal or quality. Whats gets me stumped is the fact it was working fine before but what freq I have no idea since before I did the reset Prime was the only channel it could pick up after it had its glitch that caused it to lose all the other channel except prime. I tried also getting C4 and trackside just as a process of elimination to see if they too would work or not and they turned out to be the same as Prime.
