Freeview...UHF or Satellite
I have purchased a Dish antenna which is proudly sitting on the roof, aligned approximately to the Optus D1 azimuth and elevation. I have a Pansonic TH-24A400Z TV purchased second hand and which is waiting for collection. What I need to know from somebody, please, is whether I need a blackl box device to match the dish LNB into this particular TV or not. Nobody seems to be able to tell me. The LNB Output is 950Mhz to 1450 Mhz. Thanks in anticipation....

It doesn't have a sat tuner so you will need either a Sat Box between the Dish and the TV or UHF antenna direct to TV..

Thanks, that is what I suspected. I feel silly having bought the TV on trademe only to find out that the TVs of this family are pretty well rubbished for picture quality by Consumer in its latest magazine review. When I receive it I will try it out and maybe write it off as a bad decision. Further to your comments, we have only satellite coverage here in the far north, so UHF cannot be used.
