Difficulty in deleting watched programmes

I have a S8100 box with remote. I have attached an external harddrive to record programmes

I am now finding it can take up to a minute to delete watched programmes if they delete at all and the channel button doesnt want to work so I enter which channels using the numeric pad,

I have rebooted , factory reset and new batteries

any thoughts?

Sounds like your hard drive might be getting tired

Yes, it could be the hard drive, some hard drives can wear out more faster than others especially if its connected to a recording system. See if it works on a newer drive if you have one. otherwise it's best to contact DISH TV directly to see what they can suggest. www.dishtv.co.nz
