channel change ends in no signal

Hi sometimes when I change channel when it goes to the new channel it comes up no signal then i have to wait until it comes back on again sometimes over an hour sometimes just a few minutes it usually happens during daylight hours (i live in nelson) I have a dish tv sat box S7070 it started when trackside and c4 showed up on my epg even though i dont get them

Hi Mellissa, it sounds like the LNB in the satellite dish might be failing as the warmer weather comes in. A lot of old oval shaped ex-Sky ones are failing at the moment and need replacing.

If the problem affects all the channels at the hottest part of the day, this is the most likely reason I think. Cheers, Mike

Hi thanks Mike you are right it is the hottest part of the day and it is an old sky dish so I will get onto getting that sorted.

That LNB looks good Paul, but has a wider throat than the Sky one so will need a different bracket to mount it to the dish. Where would you get one of those?
