Hve just done all the re-tune to get the three "new" channels on 9 10 11( took a bit, we have a dse7500 and some of the Forum instructions are a bit wrong). All good but now have an audio/video lag only on the new channels. ie sound first by about a second or less. Anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution? Cheers

Hi Ngaire

Can you please let me know which instructions were incorrect or you were having issues with?
Also in terms of the lag, have you tried powering down the device from the wall and switching it on again?

Kind Regards, Josh

Thanks for the prompy reply Josh

At step 6after the rename, instructions say to OK and OK, but that takes you right out and you have to get back in to reset the LNB to 2.

Step 8, para 8 screen to check against ("should look like this") LNB is still LNB1 - is this right?

Step 14 says to rename Maori on 9, tv1 on 10 and tv2 on 10??? confusing.

Re the audio/visual lag, would changing the VPID and APID values on the offending channels help?

Powering off and on  didn't seem to make a difference. Should we leave it off for several minutes.?

Regards

Ngaire

Changing the pids wont help. try factory reset and rescan.

I have checked two ZMX-7500s that I have running in my workshop (after a factory reset and rescan today).   One is using the Auckland region and the other Canterbury.    Both exhibit a slight lip sync error on BravoPlus1, Prime and Edge with other channels ok.   I estimate that the audio is leading the video by less than a ¼ of a second.

Sorry I don't know of any way to adjust this in the receiver.    The PIDs are the address where the receiver looks up the start address of the audio or video data for extraction from the transport stream.   Changing the PID would result in no audio or no video for that channel.

Thanks for  your response, good to know it's not something obvious that we've missed. Guess we will just have to live with it.

Cheers

Ngaire
