0% strength and quality

We've just gotten a secondhand freeview box (coship cdvb2500e) and when I try to search for channels it says 0% strength and 0% quality so no surprises there it wont pick up anything. Before I annoy my landlords to see if it is a problem with the satellite dish, is there anything i can do/try? We live in Golden Bay/Tasman Area

The coship is a very old box. haven't seen one of those in a long time. 

Its a manual tuner so you will have to set your LO frequency to whatever the LNB is.

Then do a nit scan on Horizontal transponder  12483   sr 22500
