Hi,

I switched on my TV and Freeview box last night and got a 'no signal' message. Previously everything has been working fine but now there is no signal for any channel. The free view box (DSE DV3) is powered on, and on the TV screen I can see the channels but each one shows 0% signal. Nothing has changed in my TV set up so I am at a loss to know what to do.

Hi Donna,

It sounds like you might have a problem with your satellite dish. First thing I would do is to make sure it is nothing else wrong with your receiver. Have you given it a full power reset? Next thing to do is to check its settings. There should be two transponders (at least) programmed up. One at 12456 and one at 12483MHz and they should both be H polarity and 22500MS/s symbol rate.
... edit: having looked at your picture, it is clear that these are correct...
If that is correct and you still have zero signal, then it must be a cable or dish problem. If there is anyone else that can loan you another decoder to try, that would be a good way to prove that your dish is ok.

Let us know what you find.
Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike. I think I'll have to call someone to look at it for me as I don't think I can get hold of another decoder. Can you recommend anyone? I'm on the North Shore in Auckland.
