Hi. All of a sudden our set recordings for TV1 news at 6pm is not recording. If it happens to record it comes up with the channel info of Parliament tv which I have been deleting without watching. Set recordings for Choice Tv often dont end and I find it still locked in 4 hours later. Does anyone know what is going on please and how to fix it? Thanks Mike and Josie

Hi Josie & Mike,
Not really too sure what's going on or how this could happen, as it depends on what you're using and how you've set up your recordings.
You could first try a FACTORY RESET to see if it helps address this problem (sometimes devices - and this goes with PCs as well - gets overloaded with data and appears to do 'random' things as it tries to correct itself).
You're best to refer to your product manual for instructions on how to do a Factory Reset (as each device differs slightly in menu structure etc.).
Important to note that, after this Factory Reset, you will need to re-book your recordings. So it's a good idea to note down first what you normally record so as not to forget any of your fave shows!
If a Factory Reset doesn't help, please provide some further details (e.g. device brand & model)
And if I can't find a solution in the recesses of my brain, we might need to refer you to the manufacturer's support team for more diagnostics.
Hi Bel. Thank you for this info. I have done a reset and all but Choice tv are (for now) ok. Still having trouble with recording Choice TV not cutting out at the program end. This stops the next set to record program from starting. Freeview Satellite S707 either Q or O r SatBox
Cheers

Hi Josie & Mike,
Any time! Glad it helped somewhat.... which programme(s) did you set to record on Choice TV?
And did you get a firmware upgrade at the start of May? I just had a look on the S7070r product page on Dish TV's website and there was an upgrade released on 7 May 2013. Not 100% sure if it'll help correct the problem you've described around recordings not ending properly on Choice TV (it could be programme-specific, hence my Q around which ones you tried) but perhaps worth a try if the device don't already have the latest firmware installed:
http://www.dishtv.co.nz/Satellite-Receivers-satBox/82-satBox-S7070r...
The upgrade info on that page says that instructions are included with the zip file if you want to give it a go.
