Our reception is cutting out, first happened last Saturday and we got nothing til Mondsy, has been going fine until last night. When we turn the box off for a few minutes we get recrption again but only for 10 minutes at the most. Does anybody have any ideas? My dish tv receiver is probably only a month old.

Hi Megan The issues you are having could be related to your LNB (Low Noise Blocker) which is the little machine that points at the front of the Satellite Dish, Your LNB is possibly old and has been worn out which has resulted in your receiver being unable to retrieve the best signal. This is common for older LNBs to suddenly drop service and may need to be replaced.

Do you know if the Satellite Dish and the LNB have been recently installed or have been at your home for a while?

Strong weather can also play a part in reducing strong satellite signals, check to see if your Satellite Dish is loose from the 'stays' a loose Satellite Dish will require it to be retightened to regain the Freeview Service.

Let me know if this helps in solving your reception issues, if you need further information please let us know :-)

Had Glen from Entertainment Systems Southland out today, he replaced LNB as it was waterlogged. Thanks for the advice and also thanks to Glen, highly recommend him to any Southlanders!
