After May 1st re-tune Ch 37 Prime, Choice, Sommet etc very poor quality reception. The % quality bar varying from 0 - 80% constantly. Signal strength constant 90%.

Ch 29 TV1 etc perfect picture with 70% signal strength, 100% quality.

My equipment is UHF aerial, Dish TV receiver and Sony Freeview TVs x 2. Same Ch 37 poor quality on all.

My problem sounds similar to earlier fault reported here on North Shore. My area is Maraetai, SE Auckland with direct sight to Sky tower.

I am assuming as TV1, 2 etc is perfect reception that my aerial and equipment is good.

Its very frustrating after days of re-tune warnings that someone gets it so wrong. All was good before re-tune.

Please advise.

Thanks Martin.

Apologies to freeview, found problem to poor quality picture on Prime etc.

I have an analogue Sky receiver which pipes Sky via a coax UHF output on Ch 38 to all my TVs. This conflicted with the May 1st Prime, Choice retune to Ch 37. I changed the UHF output channel on the Sky menu to 40, re-tuned all TVs, good picture everywhere. Prime now 100% quality and strength.

I then thought that anyone still using an analogue VCR to play tapes although not able to tune to digital freeview may still be putting an output via coax to the TV. My old VCRs default Channel was 38 also. This may also conflict with Ch 37 Prime but this is only a guess could be wrong.
