[SOLVED] Dish TV S7090PVR "No reception check your cable/satellite dish" message

Hi there

We have just moved house. We have a S7090PVR.

We have an error "no reception. Check your cable/satellite dish". We have two satellite cables connected to each other. Can someone please let me know what the cables should look like so I can make sure we have connected them correctly?

Thanks!

Afternoon Sacha

I have attached the below photo to help you determine  what cable goes where, You should have One cable  that has a pin on the end and a screw type component that goes into the LNB IN socket on the back of the unit (See Below) You should also have a white LOOP cable which is also shown below connected,

Can you confirm if one of the cables has the screw type end with a single Pin inside?

Thanks for your reply.

The two satellite cables connected to each other have screw type ends & pins. I've tried both as per the diagram & the error is still coming up.

Hi Sacha

Thanks for that info, it looks like there might be something wrong with your Satellite Dish,

  1. Your Satellite Dish is misaligned and needs to be realigned in order to restore reception, you can do this on your own or get a technician, if you wish to do a DIY then check out these useful information about aligning to the "Optus D1 Freeview" Satellite http://freeviewforum.co.nz/forum/topics/freeview-satellite-aligning...

  2. Your LNB ( Which is the little thing in front of your Dish) needs to be replaced, you can find out more information here: http://freeviewforum.co.nz/forum/topics/freeview-satellite-adjustin...

See if these guides help you in restoring Freeview, if you ever need help consult a loal installer or call us here: https://www.dishtv.co.nz/contact-us/Hamilton-Office/

have you checked the lnb setting in the menu?

if 10750 doesnt work try 11300 and vice-versa

I actually thought I'd try resetting to factory default & it worked! Thanks for your help
