Up until a few days ago our freeview was working fine. Then a message came up saying there was updates available. The remote to the freeview was broken a while back (we would change channels via freeview box). We just left it hoping it would update automatically. My son ended up turning the whole thing off in the hope when he turned it back on everything would be updated. Now we can only get Ch 1,2,5,7 and 10. My son also mucked around with the tv remote so now we dont know wether its the settings in the tv or the update staus with the freeview. We have a Hills HSM075 connected via satelitte dish. Any help appreciated.

Have you tried doing a factory reset on the box? If it's got the freeview logo on the front, that might be the easiest way.

Otherwise, you could try going through the menu, find the add transponder option and add a new transponder. The paramaters are:

Frequency: 12456
Polarity: Horizontal
Signal Rate: 22500
FEC: 3/4
22Khz: Off
LOF: 10750 if you have a sky dish, 11300 if you have a freeview dish (or sometimes really really old sky dishes. If one doesn't work, try the other)

But if this all sounds too complicated, a factory reset should do it if you have a freeview approved box, the option should be in the menu somewhere
