Hi guys.

We have enjoyed Freeview here in central Christchurch for about a year now, but recently I noticed the reception declining on tv3 and 3+1. Then it took those channels away all together for a bit and then they'd come back after a couple of days and a re-autotune on the TV (42 inch Panasonic, with FV built in), while the other channels would work fine.

How ever now the bad reception has taken over all channels and I can't get them back - no more TV for me... Although I am enjoying the extra hours in the day!

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't have a great selection of books so I'd like the TV back.

Thanks,

Ed

Hey Ed

I'm in North Canterbury and have had no issues with Freeview lately. To me it sounds like an issue with the aerial or cabling. If you go into menu-setup-signal condition(from memory i think, i'm not at home to check my panny tv) to check the signal quality/strenght, it should be above 7 or 8 to get a stable picture.

Hi Ed

Aaron is right, the likley cause of the issue is that your UHF aerial is not aligned properly, Make sure that it is aligned correctly to the Sugarloaf transmitter and make sure that any loose connections and leads are noted and fixed. Try a rescan and see how that goes
