Hi cb

Al Jazeera is going fine here from the Waiatarua transmitter in Auckland, Can you please tell me your area and which transmitter your aerial is pointed to?

Kind Regards
Joshua

Hi Joshua, we are in Ellerslie and the uhf aerial is pointed at the sky tower. All other 18 channels are working dandy....

There might be other channels you might not be receiving, but the best approach is to check your antenna to see if it is aligned properly and that the aerial is seen in a vertical position when facing the SKY Tower.

Overtime, strong winds and weather may interfere with the signal and with the last few days of rain bursts and now wind this might have affected the frequency of the Al Jazeera channel.

Let me know if this information helps, please reply back if you require further assistance

Thanks for that Joshua

The aerial is definitely vertical as it should be. I have noticed that some of the other channels are NOT dandy, and are getting the digital 'smudge'. I think we need to get someone in with a gadget to tweak our aerial to ensure it's pointing correctly. I suspect you are right and it's been effected by the wind. It was good to join the forum and get confirmation it was just this end - not a general thing. We were wondering if Al J had been removed (like summit not so long ago).

cheers

Just tried auto tune again and it worked. 23 channels, 1 data, and 3 radio...all back to normal. ...?

Hey cb

Thanks for the update, pleased to hear that the retune restored all channels.
The Auto Tune would have made adjustments and you should be receiving great reception on Al Jazeera and the other new channels you have found.

Kind Regards
Joshua
