Yes the DSE7500/G7500 has the same motherboard and software so any instructions I have written for the ZMX-7500 also apply to the DSE7500

Hi, i have checked the version It says is is

Hello Deana,

Can you check your ZMX-7500 software version for me please:  Menu --> Accessories --> Version.

If the s/w version is 6.0* or higher than the green 87% signal quality bar on TV1 indicates that the LNB ( the round  thing on the end of the arm on your dish) is most likely out of alignment.   If you have lost TV1, TV2, TV1+1, TV2+1 and Maori after a re-scan, this confirms that the LNB is mis-aligned (assuming the software is 6.0 or higher).    More information about this can be found in my Dropbox "ZMX-7500 No TV1 & TV2.pdf".

(* Software versions prior to 6.0 have an incorrect tuner software driver and can exhibit poor signal quality on the TVNZ channels)

A separate document "ZMX-7500 No Signal.pdf" describes another issue where the LNB has gone off frequency, and which can give similar symptoms but other channels will probably be affected as well.

Before calling your installer back, I suggest you try a restore to defaults and instructions on how to do this are in my Dropbox: "ZMX-7500 How to restore to the Factory Default.pdf"

I have emailed you separately, the latest revision of instructions for adding Prime.

I think my version is not high enough mine is 8A, it said tuning failed, i went back into the menu and did an auto scan and manual scan and  I managed to get all the channels except prime and c4. so it looks like i need to upgrade my freeview receiver is that right?

sorry my version is 6A

Hi Deana

No you don't need a software upgrade as 6A works ok with C4, Prime & Trackside.   Do you have a copy of the Instructions for adding Prime with the revision date 30 November 2013 at the bottom.  These have some important changes in step 5 to allow for an LNB which is off frequency.

If you are still stuck you can call me on 027 2057999 or you can txt me your landline number and I can call you back.

Regards

Graham
