Auckland Channel 29 reception

I am in Auckland and am experiencing poor reception of Channel 29 programs from China.

I have an outdoor UHF aerial and the decoder is built into the Panasonic TV

Are the Chinese programs transmitted to NZ via satellite before being broadcast here?

Good Afternoon Ben

The transmission you receive is all broadcasted from New Zealand however the content (depending on what it is) would have been recorded or relayed onto the broadcasters transmission output from a range of methods. You contact WTV here for more technical information

Can you confirm if its just TV 29 that you are experiencing reception issues or a range of channels?

I have had reception issues with other higher channels, such as 33.

But only sometimes.

The lower channels are fine.

Hey Ben

That indicates that there is something not quite right with your aerial, usually this might be because its loose or environmental changes have disrupted a signal path which only appears during certain times of the day, best to check to see if its correctly aligned and secure.
