Hi - does anyone else have issues with the Freeview on demand app not working on the new 2020 models of LG screens?

The app loads fine, but when selecting any type of content, the app just hangs indefinitely on the channel logo loading screen. I’ve tried switching the Hbb settings on and off, but still no luck.

Content works fine on all other apps (inc. tvnz). Raised a ticket with freeview suppprt last week but no response received.
TV model is LG OLED65GXPVA.

Hi Kerrin, 

I'll follow up with the team about the ticket, In the meantime please try the following quick steps. 

  • Switch off your TV from the wall for 2 minutes then switch on
  • Same with the modem, 2 minutes cool down the. reboot. 
  • Are there software updates pending on the TV?

Thanks for the response. I’ve tried each of the steps suggested, and confirmed that no updates are pending, but the problem still persists unfortunately.

Still no response to the original support ticket raised btw.

    We are aware of issues with these TVs, It is under investigation.  Please check NETWORK STATUS for the latest updates.
