When I moved into my new house I found that the older style aerial cables (the ones that plug into the back of the TV/Decoder) had been replaced with SKY ones, who do I contact to get these replaced/changed back so that I can use Freeview?

just get some adaptors usually f male-belling lee male

At my older place when they installed SKY they hooked up new cables to plug into the SKY Box.

At my new place however, they appear to have simply replaced the old cables with the SKY ones which are incompatible with the back of my TV.

Thanks for the heads up on the adapters, exactly the kind of thing I was looking for, did not know they existed. I feel Freeview should have something on their site about the cables, all they mention is the satellite dish and Aerial but no mention at all about the cable.

Hi Dexter

Freeview is not responsible for the equipment you own nor how its arranged in the household,

Freeview® is not a manufacturer, retailer or provider of installation services for digital TV equipment; however, to help you find what you need for your digital TV upgrade, you'll find a list of Freeview® approved products with Manufacturer Support Contact Details, Freeview accredited retail partners as well as a directory of installers on this website.

I hope this information helps :) This forum has a large range of resources search them using the search bar on the top right of the forum.

Thanks
Joshua

The problem isn't to do with having the right products, simply my cable has a female socket end instead of the male plug end that is needed to plug into freeview decoders and the back of a TV.

I did use the search bar, the only things that came up were about UHF aerials and Decoders, nothing comes up about the actual wire cable that plugs into the back of my TV.

Thankfully it is sorted now as Willis has pointed out that there is adapters available. I just thought it would be a good idea for Freeview to say that along with needing a UHF aerial and a decoder/TV with Freeview built-in that you also need the right plug.
