I recently bought a Transonic Digital Satellite Receiver TWH-S1 and im using an old style TV and a black satellite dish. I am able to recieve a signal and when I did a blind scan I only picked up asian, korean, arab and scrambled channels. How do I find the normal TV channels?

Your Dish is not pointing at Optus D1 (160E) where the NZ channels are

You will need to get a TV Tech in to have the Dish adjusted

Cheers Alan, thanks for the response.

You might be able to save a few dollars.

from behind the dish turn the dish 2 inches to the right and try a rescan

If you locate the Freeview and other D1 signals make a fine tweak to the dish elevation to peak the signal tighten up everything and you should be fine.

Cheers for the money saver, might give it a go.

You also need to adjust the Elevation and LNBF Skew angle for best results or you will suffer from the dreaded rain fade .

Best results will require a satellite meter or Spectrum Analyzer for best

X polarity null . Suggest you get an installer to do it for Optimum results !!
