TVNZ OnDemand Content removed from Freeview Ondemand from June 2021

Changes are coming to Freeview On Demand, with TVNZ OnDemand content to be accessed via its own app rather than the Freeview aggregated platform from June 2021.

Freeview broadcast TV channels are not impacted by this change. Viewers will still be able to enjoy all the same TV channels they know and love and this includes the live streaming of TV channels available on selected devices.  Freeview features also remain unchanged by this move, including helpful tools like the Freeview TV Guide and recording of TV programmes.

In June this year, TVNZ OnDemand content will come off Freeview On Demand. This means you’ll need to download the TVNZ OnDemand app to stream TVNZ programmes going forward.

Focusing on TVNZ OnDemand means TVNZ can provide a consistent user experience for their viewers. It also means they can invest in new features and content for their viewers to enjoy.

TVNZ OnDemand is available on a huge number of devices. You can find a list of their endpoints here

This change is to Freeview On Demand only. You can still watch TVNZ 1, 2 AND DUKE as you do right now and there is no impact to regular TV channels.

ALL PLATFORMS WORKING WELL, except a glitch with UHF transmission in Hawkes Bay affecting some JVC and VEON TVs.  See Network Status for more info and updates.
