On demand content

Have only just got freeview plus yesterday. When I use the guide the EPG guide to view what was on yesterday and click on a show to play it, it simply brings up the TVNZ on demand app or the TV3 app. I was expecting that it would play the show in the app automatically. Instead, I am simply taken to the main screen of the app.

Is this normal? It means after clicking on the show to play, I am then only taken to the homepage of the app, and have to search the app until I find the show that I wanted to have play automatically.

There is currently a problem affecting the linking of videos from FreeviewPlus to the TVNZ OnDemand app, where a video – selected within FreeviewPlus – does not load in TVNZ OnDemand, instead the user is redirected to the TVNZ OnDemand home screen.

Freeview has escalated this and is working with the broadcaster and the developers to resolve this.

I will report to the team about the TV3 app as well.

Thanks for the info. I can confirm that I am seeing the same result for both TVNZ content and TV3 content. Neither play the actual show. Even TV3 content goes to the home page of the app.
