How to get captions on the app for tvnz demand on S8100-ZA?

HI everyone, we have just brought the dish tv freeview plus box last weekend. Im deaf and need captions on the App it has to watch shows online. I cannot figure out how to get the captions on! Can anyone help on this? Thanks!

Captions are available on selected shows on TVNZ OnDemand, a full list is a available here: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/what-to-watch/news-feed/closed-captions--mor...

Usually the Subtitle button should activate it or an icon on the video player, however let me know if you have issues.
