Dish TV users will have the option to update the firmware of the receiver using an OTA Update or a USB. 

Updating the receiver over a USB will require a bit more time and ensure you read instructions really carefully to avoid damage to your device. 

On the DishTV website under each product will be details on the current firmware available to upgrade on your device, you will need to plug in a USB device and download the files as necessary. there will be a few set-up guides that will ensure you are sorted.

When you are required to insert the device into the receiver please ensure that your power supply is not at risk of shutting off unexpectedly as this will damage your device during the installation process.
