Unable to connect to TV

Hi all our Freeview box crashed whilst it was doing one of its automatic upgrades and now the light on the front is flashing alternatively red and green and won't connect to the TV. We are getting all the symbols on the TV like you get when it does upgrades. Have tried all the usual fixes like cables, unplugging etc. Any suggestions appreciated
