tuned in new prime channel on main TV but lost receptions onother TV's in house

Doers anyone have any ideas how to bring up Sky and freeview on 2nd & 3rd Tv's in house?  Have managed to successfully tune in Freeview DTV Solutions in thru blind scanning following directions on this site, but have lost everything off both 2nd and 3rd TV's.  Cant see any thing on them so cant bring up the menu on them to try and sort from each of these TV's Any ideas please?  Freeview uses off our Sky Dish for reception as unable to receive Freeview in our area without it

When you press the P button what does it say on the TV screen .

If you think that the Freeview box is causing the problem turn it off and see if you get Sky in bedrooms.

No difference with Freeview turned off When you press the P button up or down Says "weak or no signal" check antenna cable Haven't touched this just tarried turning Sky off and removed and replaced card last nite with no effect

weak or no signal means your probably on the wrong channel.

Please confirm that both My Sky and the freeview receiver are both working in the lounge and aren't showing  weak or no signal.

Normally to view Sky on a second TV you would need a RF modulator to convert the composite signal to RF signal so that your TV can tune it using the analogue  tuner in the TV.

Normally you would press 1 using Tv remote to watch Sky and Press 2 for Freeview box.

Both work in lounge although while Freeview is clear in lounge it flicks to a black screen and back to clear signal frequently since trying to retune. Not sure what a RF modulator is. There is a box at the back of bedroom screen. Could be RF Might have to resort to finding technician to sort it all out. Very grateful for your assistance. Anyone you could recommend in Chch?

RF Modulator example below.

I think that the Sky RF frequency and the RF frequency from the DTVS - 1B satellite receiver are the same which is probably causing the problem.

You may have a completely different set-up .

I cant recommend anyone in Christchurch  sorry , anyone that is tech minded should be able to fix this.

Doing a blind scan on the DTVS - 1B shouldn't of affect the Sky signal to second and third TV.

Yes we have one of those sitting on top of Freeview receiver and my sky box in lounge Has number 38 on it. Thank you very much for your time Will have one more crack at retuning tomorrow and get technician in if doesn't work Thanks

That means the RF channel is 38 you didn't knock it ?

Dont change the modulator leave it on 38

Ok you need to check what number is showing on the DTVS - 1B

the default on DTVS - 1B is 38  which is why you have lost reception.

they must be different numbers.

It has always been on that channel 38. Have checked the back or this and all connections seem stable

On the DTVS - 1B

  1. Menu
  2. System Setup
  3. Tv  Setup
  4. Use the down arrow to select RF channel
  5.  If it is 38 that is the problem

I am assuming you use the left and right arrow keys to change the number

Yes it was 38 on DTVS Have changed it to 36 and we now have sky going in the bedroom Yahoo!! Do we just need to retune the Freeview now?

No you need to figure out what RF channel it was on before blind scan .

On the bedroom Tv Do whatever you normally do to see Freeview siginal.

then change the RF channel  on the DTVS - 1B till you get a picture.

Would be easier with 2 people but you could turn up the sound on the tv and you will hear it when its on the right frequency.
