There's a note on FOUR's website saying they're moving frequencies... what's the deal?

Looks like only the satellite frequencies, not UHF. And doesn't include Four. Only 4+1, Prime and the Edge.
Maybe because of the shift to HD for Prime on Satellite?
Woops, my bad. I meant to write the +1.
I guess SKY's going to shift all the DVB-S channels to one frequency when they convert their's to DVB-S2.
I do wonder why there's no notice from Freeview about it yet... maybe MediaWorks broke another embargo!
So this means that those of us that still have the old and still working DSE or Zinwell 7500 boxes will have to do complete retune again ?
Hi David
I am going to work with Freeview regarding this and I will make sure the photo guides for the Zinwell are update.
I am going to seek more info to explain the changes.

Will we get the new TP's as when I scan i get multiple option for each channel
thanks
Hi Gary,
Mediaworks has not provided details of the new transponder, I do hope this is very soon so that viewers can tune in (if they have any devices that have trouble auto tuning)

So does that mean the channel numbers are changing.
For example prime is on channel 10, Edge TV on channel 11 and Four Plus 1 on channel 9 so does that they are moving numbers?
So does that mean they are moving to a different SKY digital TP? So does that mean they are moving back to the freeview TP's? :)
Sorry I not used to this because I have used this freeview form before :)
Hi Liam,
The channel numbers will remain the same for Prime. Mediaworks TV who owns FOUR and The Edge TV has announced the launch of new upcoming channel BRAVO TV https://www.bravotv.co.nz/ which will replace FOUR TV in July this year. No details on Four Plus 1 but there might be some reshuffling made.
The move onto a new Transponder and which one has not been released, at the moment there is no more space on the 2 TPs currently operated under Kordia (on behalf of Freeview) which means that either a 3rd might be set up or one of the Sky TPs will be merged so that Prime and The Edge TV can be together (Currently they sit on 2 other TPs owned by SKY) the whole technicality is very complex.
Regards
Josh

New transponder frequencies for Four+1, Prime and The Edge TV
For the ZMX-7500 and the DSE-7500, I suggest you don't re-scan to update the channels, as per the on-screen banner message that they propose to insert after the change, as this will result in the loss of these 3 channels and you will manually have to add them back again from scratch. Although I am unable to confirm a procedure until the changes are live, it should be just a simple matter of manually updating the 3 transponder frequencies in the transponder table (and the PID table if required)
