<p>Because the dishes have the LNB offset and not at the central focal point. That's why they seem to be at quite a different angle. Think of the Dish as a mirror. If the dish is at around 15 degrees then the LNB will be looking at around 45 degrees. If the LNB was at the Central point then the dish would be at 44.4deg.</p>
<p>All dishes I've seen have the calibration marks on the side of the mount and are appropriate to the offset of the LNB.</p>
