Hi everyone,
just joined the world of freeview, with a Panasonic recorder BWT840 setup. (Thanks Biggles!). A quick user question now though: does the tv unit have to stay connected to the recorder via the RF and HDMI cables for the recording to occur naturally? or can it be uncoupled, moved around, then plugged back when we want to watch the recorded shows?
Cheers,
Phil

No.
As long as the antenna cable is connected to the BWT840 it will record. You can move it anywhere and connect to any other TV to watch recordings. As far as I know you may be able to stream via WiFi to other devices too. I don't think my older one does. It is DLNA capable but I've never tried as I have an A C Ryan Media Player.
Hi Biggles,
thanks again :) very glad you haunt these forums!
now to unpack all the other boxes and start settling in..
